Youth Committee

Wanganui District Council established its first Youth Committee in March 2006 and advertises for new members each year. The Youth Committee's new members for 2010 were officially sworn in on March 15. Photos and profiles of the new Youth Councillors will be available soon.

The purpose of the committee is to:
Develop and monitor policy on youth issues
Provide opportunities for youth to contribute to the Council's decision-making
Advise the Council on matters of interest for youth in the Wanganui District
