Youth Committee
Wanganui District Council established its first Youth Committee in March 2006 and advertises for new members each year.

The purpose of the committee is to:
Develop and monitor policy on youth issues
Provide opportunities for youth to contribute to the Council's decision-making
Advise the Council on matters of interest for youth in the Wanganui District
