The Wanganui District was hit by a storm in July 2006, causing damage throughout the district, closing many rural roads and resulting in the Ngaturi Bridge at Mangamahu collapsing. This isolated the Mangamahu community. More bad weather in August caused further problems. These photographs show some of the impact and the repair work. There are also photos taken at the official opening of the Bailey Bridge at Mangamahu on August 24.
