How this service is provided Aramoho Cemetery - a total area of 14.5 hectares, and Brunswick, Heads Road, Matarawa and Maxwell Cemeteries totalling an additional 4.5 hectares. Services provided
Maintenance standards To maintain the tranquil and pleasing appearance of the
cemeteries, the maintenance standards need to be high. The following are
examples of maintenance items that the Council requires:

Elections Special Voting Pursuant to regulation 35 of the Local Electoral Regulations 2001, special voting documents for the Local Authority Elections to be held on Saturday, 13 October 2001, may be obtained from the Special Voting Booth, First Floor, Wanganui District Council Chambers, from Monday, 24 September 2001, to Friday, 12 October 2001, between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm daily and also Saturday, 13 October 2001, between the hours of 9.00am and noon. Sale of Former Plant Nursery The Wanganui District Council wishes to sell by tender the former Council Plant Nursery located at 16 Abbot Street. The entire property is contained in a 8,896 square metre rear lot and comprises a number of structures including glasshouses, a workshop, tunnel houses, shade house and toilet block. The Council's preference is to sell the property. However,
if no tenders are received, the Council will consider other options, such
as lease proposals or offers to purchase, for removal, individual structures
or other items. The Tender Pack also contains the appropriate form for

Notice of proposed temporary road closure
to vehicular traffic The Wanganui Car Club, for the purpose of a hill climb event, proposes to close Okoia Hill Road from 100 metres before the junction with Matarawa Valley Road to the intersection with No. 2 Line on Sunday, 4 November 2001, from 9.00am until 6.00pm. During the closure, provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic which would otherwise use Okoia Hill Road. Any person objecting to the proposed road closure should lodge notice of his/her objections and grounds thereof in writing before 7 October 2001 at the Wanganui District Council, 101 Guyton Street, Wanganui.
