Community Contracts
Community organisations working within the Wanganui District are advised that applications for Community Contracts for the 2010/2011 financial year (1 July-30 June) are now invited. The Community Contracts programme gives funding to community organisations who provide service initiatives that:
There is $150,000 of contestable funding available for the 2010/2011 year. (Please note: the Community Contracts Fund is separate from the Impact Fund which supports initiatives that attract visitors and deliver a significant economic impact to Wanganui, and deliver sustainable programmes that raise the national profile of Wanganui). Request for Proposals Keeping Wanganui Moving Forward Professional services consultants are invited to submit proposals for this study and strategic plan commission that asks the question – What will a Wanganui urban transport system, which is integrated, well connected, sustainable and multi-modal, look like 30 years from now? Proponents will be required to assess and identify well balanced solutions, including physical infrastructure and policy interventions, while understanding the needs/behaviours of the users.
