Council staff "best in Wanganui" - 3/10/2008Acting Mayor Ray Stevens says National Customer Services Week (October 6-10) is a great opportunity for organisations to recognise the work of their staff.
"The theme for the week is 'One Team One Vision' and I believe that definitely applies to all of us at the Wanganui District Council," Cr Stevens said.
"Councillors and staff work together as a team to serve our community. The Council is a diverse organisation and we need to recognise the great work done by our officers in a broad range of areas. I think we have the best customer services staff in Wanganui.
"During Customer Services Week, our organisation will be acknowledging the work done by our staff and I encourage other organisations to do the same. Of course, we should do this throughout the year, not just for one week!"
Throughout Customer Services Week, the Council will be running in-house promotions of its teams and the work they do, seeking examples of staff who have provided excellent customer service and acknowledging those who 'go the extra mile'. |
