Ikitara Road development: Council investigating legal options - 8/04/2009Wanganui District Council Chief Executive Kevin Ross today said the council is investigating all legal options following the resumption of work at 86 Ikitara Road, "defying the court".
In January the Environment Court granted an interim enforcement order against developer Adrian Page and his business associates Nicola Wilson and Brian Shaw to halt further development work at 86 Ikitara Road.
"The council is extremely disappointed that Mr Page has resumed work on the site while the enforcement order remains in place and we are seeking advice on the legal options available to us.
"We want this illegal work to stop and are seeking further sanctions against the developer." |
