Norm Hubbard remembered - 11/02/2011
Mayor Main acknowledged with sadness today the passing of Norm Hubbard MBE.
“Norm was voluntarily responsible for ensuring the preservation, restoration and recognition of some key elements of our districts history, especially those with a connection to the Whanganui River,” says Ms Main.
“We will forever be grateful to him for the legacy he leaves us. His long-lasting contribution is a symbol of the passion he had for our community and the stories which weave our Maori and European history together.
“We thank him and his family for the contribution he has made to our place.”
