How much does a LIM cost?
Residential and rural - $143 (GST incl)
Commercial - actual cost plus GST. A deposit of $150 is required.
Urgent LIM - additional $143 (GST incl)
Optional site inspection

Fees must be paid at the time the application is made. Note: Fees can be subject to change.
How long does it take?
By law, the LIM must be completed within 10 working days.
We offer an "urgent" LIM service (completed within 3 days and 3 hours), but you must contact the LIM administrator before lodging the application to check that the shortened timeframe can be met. An additional fee is charged for an urgent LIM. |

Site inspection
A site inspection does not form part of the legal requirement of a LIM. However, Wanganui District Council does offer a site inspection in conjunction with a LIM application. The site inspection is of the exterior only to check Council's building records against the site. A site inspection will pick up if any external building work has been done without the required consent/permit.
An additional inspection fee of $133 (GST incl) is charged for residential site inspections.
Commercial and rural site inspections are charged at cost, plus GST, and $65 deposit is required.
