This busy Saturday morning market runs from 9am till 1pm offering locals and visitors alike an eclectic range of artists, crafts people, food producers, plant growers and general wares. Something new and imaginative each week. Join us for coffee and a truly Whanganui experience. Venue: Moutoa Quay, on the riverbank along from the PS Waimarie. 20 March 12 noon - midnight Salsa on the Awa – World Rueda Salsa Marathon
Twelve hours of fundraising dance marathon for Ronald McDonald House and Performing Arts First Foundation. There will be a donation bucket circulating and sponsorship forms for participants available. Venue: Majestic Square; at 6pm the dancers move to Star Dance Academy Studio, 36 Taupo Quay. 20 March 1pm Ngamatapouri School Fundraiser Event
Picnic with your family by the pool. “The Flannels” start at 4pm to entertain while there are also games, raffles, sausage sizzle, milkshakes, cake stalls and more.  Entry $10 or $20 per family. If you attend the afternoon events then stay on and be entertained again by “The Flannels” in the evening, or come for the evening performance at 7pm. Over two weekends local artists open their studios for local, domestic and international visitors to view and talk about their art work. Interesting and varied mediums of work to view and purchase.
