Resource Management Act 1991
Wanganui District Plan Plan Changes 11, 12 and 13 to the District Plan Public notice is hereby given in accordance with Clause 5 of the First Schedule of the Resource Management Act 1991 that the Wanganui District Council has prepared Plan Changes 11, 12 and 13 to the Wanganui District Plan. The Wanganui District Council notifies the Plan Changes as follows: Proposed Plan Change 11: Rezoning 25 Tawa Street (including St John's Ambulance) Proposed Plan Change 12: Rezoning 39 - 41 Tawa Street (including Gonville Baths, Gonville Hall and Kokohuia Hall) Proposed Plan Change 13: Rezoning Windsor Park Submission forms and copies of Plan Changes 11, 12 and 13 are available for public inspection, during normal working hours, at the Customer Services Desk at the Wanganui District Council, 101 Guyton Street, and also at the District Library, Queens Park, Wanganui. Submissions relating to any aspect of the Plan Changes should be in writing and on the prescribed form, which is available from the Council Offices or the District Library, and addressed to: The closing date for submissions is 5.00pm, Monday 14 July 2008. After the submission period has closed, the Council will prepare a summary of all decisions requested by the submissions. The Council will notify (mid July) the availability of that summary and where the summary can be inspected. There is then an opportunity to make further submissions about any of the original submissions. The Council will then hold a Hearing to the submissions. All persons who make a submission or further submission and who requested to be heard will be advised of the date, time and place of the Hearing. The Council will then make decisions on the submissions and further submissions. Any submitter or further submitter may refer the decision on their submission to the Environment Court. Registrations of Interest
Trade Services Registrations of Interest are invited from suitably qualified tradespeople to supply trade services for the maintenance of buildings and grounds administered by the Wanganui District Council through the Parks and Property Group. Dog Registration Fees 2008–2009
The Wanganui District Council gives notice, as required by the Dog Control Act 1996, Section 37(b) of the Dog Registration Fees set by resolution of Council on 19 May 2008. The Dog Registration Fees are for the 1 July 2008 to 30 June 2009 year.
The fee for dogs classified as 'dangerous' is 150% of the level that would apply if the dog were not classified as a dangerous dog (Section 32, 1(e) of the Dog Control Act 1996). Microchipping of dogs

Closure of accessway
Gilligan Close to Hurworth Place The Wanganui District Council proposes to close the walkway created by extinguishing the Right of Way easements over parts of Lots 27 and 28 DP 368038. The pedestrian accessway is situated between 17 and 19 Hurworth Place and 18 and 12 Gilligan Close. The request for the closure of the walkway comes as a result of submissions from the residents of Gilligan Close. It is intended that the pedestrian Right of Way easement over Lot 27 and 28 contained in easement document El 6996924.2, in favour of the Wanganui District Council, will be extinguished. The right of public access through the accessway will be removed and the accessway will revert to being the private property of the adjoining property owners. A fence will be erected to close the accessway to pedestrians. A copy of Deposited Plan DP 368038 showing Lots 27 and 28 and a copy of Easement Document El 6996924.2 are now open for public inspection at Customer Services, Ground Floor Reception at the Wanganui District Council offices, corner Guyton and St Hill Streets, Wanganui between 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Any objection to the proposal must be lodged in writing detailing the objection and the grounds thereof with the Chief Executive, Wanganui District Council, PO Box 637, Wanganui by 5.00pm on 7 July 2008. Lake Wiritoa closure for duckshooting season
Lake Wiritoa will be partially closed from Monday, May 5, until the end of the gamebird hunting season on Sunday, June 29. During this period, the lake will be closed from 4.00pm until noon the following day to allow hunters to shoot in the mornings and evenings. Wastewater separation update
On Carlton Avenue, works are continuing between Smithfield Road and Murch Place and will continue for approximately another week. Work has also commenced on laying a stormwater line in Murch Place. This work is likely to take two weeks. The roads will remain open; however, there will be traffic restrictions in place. Work continues in Durie Vale Road and traffic restrictions will be in place for another week. Upper Webb Road will be closed until June 20. |

Temporary road closure
Fields Track at Colliers Bridge Bridge 60 (Colliers) Deck Joint Repairs (Contractor Downer EDI Works Ltd) Fields Track at Colliers Bridge will be closed on Tuesday, 17 June 2008, and again on Wednesday, 18 June 2008. The closure will be between 7.00am and 6.00pm for the purpose of installing new deck joints. Vehicle access across the bridge will be available outside these hours. A signposted detour will not be provided. |

Rates rebates

Ratepayers need to apply to the Wanganui District Council for a rates rebate. Those who are eligible will then either have their rates reduced by the amount of the rebate, or receive a refund if the rates have been paid in full for the year.
