Proposal to stop road
Pursuant to Section 342 Local Government Act 1974 Hinau Street/Raupo Street corner The Wanganui District Council proposes to stop that portion of road described as Sections 1 and 2 on S.O.Plan 419841. It is intended that Section 1 comprising 339m2 be amalgamated with the adjoining Section 357 comprised in Certificate of Title WN17A/338 producing a combined area of 696m2 which will be advertised for sale by Public Tender. The small balance area of 38m2 described as Section 2 on S.O.Plan 419841 forms part of the entranceway to Te Heti Kura Te Kohanga Reo and this will be transferred to the Kohanga Reo. Plan No. S.O.419841 showing the areas of road to be stopped is now open for public inspection at the Customer Services Desk, Wanganui District Council, corner Guyton and St Hill Streets, Wanganui between 8.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Any objection to the proposal must be lodged in writing with the Chief Executive, Wanganui District Council, PO Box 637, Wanganui within 40 days of today (21 May 2009) being the date of the first publication of this notice. |

It is intended that the 88m2 section of stopped road be sold to the adjoining owner and amalgamated in to the title to that land namely Lot 2 D.P.60118 Certificate of Title WN 29D/404 known as 13 Toi Street. Survey Office Plan No. 415602 showing the area of legal road to be stopped is now open for public inspection at the Customer Services Desk, Wanganui District Council, corner Guyton & St Hill Streets, Wanganui between 8.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Tree removals

Lake Wiritoa closure for gamebird hunting season
Lake Wiritoa will be partially closed from Monday, May 4, until the end of the gamebird hunting season on Sunday, June 28. During this period, the lake will be closed from 4.00pm until noon the following day to allow hunters to shoot in the mornings and evenings. The lake will be open to the public from noon until 4.00pm on these days. |

Land for sale pursuant to the Local Government Act 2002
Wanganui District Council offers for sale an area of 1123m2 of freehold fee simple land being Lot 3 D.P.49146, being all the land in Certificate of Title WN21A/476 previously known as Kotuku Street Reserve. Closure of road(s)/street(s) to ordinary vehicular traffic
Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965, notice is hereby given that, for the purpose of a hillclimb event by the Wanganui Car Club, the following road will be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder. Road to be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic: Period or periods of closure: During the period of closure the following provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic which would otherwise use Tokomaru West Road: It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person, otherwise than under authority of an authorised permit, to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure. |
