Work on pipeline to connect No. 2 bore - 17/01/2011

Work is scheduled to take place tomorrow (January 18) to connect a recently laid section of pipe to No. 2 bore.

“Weather permitting, No.2 bore will be shut down for about eight hours on Tuesday so the work can take place,” says Infrastructure and Property Committee Chair Cr Ray Stevens. “If the weather does not permit the work to be carried out tomorrow, it will take place at the next available opportunity.”

“The bore is currently providing about 35% of the total city supply so I would encourage the community to be sensible about water use while the work is being carried out.”

The garden watering rules allow automatic garden sprinklers to be used any day but only between 7.00pm and 9.00pm. Hand-held hoses can be used at any time.
