Durie Hill Memorial Tower closed for cleaning - 21/01/2011

Infrastructure and Property Committee Chair Cr Ray Stevens today said the Durie Hill Memorial Tower will be closed for three days next week.

“We are closing access to the tower from Wednesday, January 26, to Friday, January 28, for the annual cleaning programme to take place.

“The outside of the tower will be sprayed to remove moss and it will undergo a general cleanup.”

The tower is built from fossilised rock shell and is 33.5 metres high.
