All Blacks making a flying visit - 26/10/2012On Tuesday, October 30, Wanganui is playing host to three visiting All Blacks and everyone is invited to come and along and meet them.
“Members of the All Blacks squad will be visiting towns and cities across the country on Tuesday and we’re lucky enough to be one of them,” says Mayor Annette Main.
“We don’t know which players will be coming but I know they will get a warm Wanganui welcome.”
The All Blacks will be at the Davis Library, Queens Park, from 9.45am for around 30 minutes. Inside the Davis Library the usual Tuesday morning ‘Reading, Rhythm and Rhyme’ story time session will be replaced by ‘Reading, Rhythm and Rugby with storytelling from rugby themed books, read by an All Black.
“This is a really fun way for our community to meet some of their sporting heroes and I hope people are able to come along and make the most of this opportunity.”
