Mangamahu update

The flying fox being built across the Mangawhero River at Mangamahu will be operational by Tuesday afternoon, July 25. The flying fox will be used to transport mail, groceries and small items to Mangamahu residents.

Work is continuing on repairs to Te Rimu Road which provides access to Mangamahu via SH4. Heavy machinery which has been used to remove debris from the Mangawhero River will be taken out via Te Rimu Road on Wednesday, July 26. The road will not be closed to locals but they are asked to take care and be aware that their journey may take some time because of the lack of passing places. The machinery will be travelling extremely slowly.
